INTRODUCING THE CLINICAL ROADMAP
Concierge Psychological Consultation & Coaching
Private clinical expertise. Individualized coaching. A personalized roadmap.
Through The Clinical Roadmap, I offer a high-touch, concierge approach to clinical consultation and executive coaching. This service is designed for individuals, families, and professionals seeking a deeper level of clinical investigation and strategic coordination for complex psychological or neurodevelopmental concerns.
Unlike standard clinical therapy, concierge consultation provides expanded access to professional expertise, flexible scheduling, and a personalized, comprehensive review of clinical history and support needs.
We work together to integrate fragmented information, navigate diagnostic complexity, and develop a clear, actionable plan. This process ensures that next steps are grounded in clinical reasoning and tailored to the unique demands of your life or organization.
Whether you are seeking clarity on long-standing patterns or need expert guidance for professional or legal decision-making, the goal is the same: to provide the insight, documentation, and coordination required to move forward with confidence.

About Dr. Jenny McCartney

Meet Dr. Jenny McCartney
Clinical and Forensic Psychologist | Psychological Assessment | Private Consultation
My fascination with human behavior has always extended beyond diagnostic labels. I am particularly interested in complex presentations, the discrepancies between what people appear capable of doing and what they experience internally, and the ways conventional explanations sometimes fail to capture the individual.
I am a California-licensed psychologist with extensive experience in clinical and forensic psychology, psychological assessment, research, graduate education, academic leadership, and clinical supervision. My professional background has allowed me to work across diverse clinical environments while investigating some of the more complex aspects of human behavior and psychological functioning.
My academic career includes serving as Director of the Graduate Forensic Psychology Program and as a professor at California Baptist University. Throughout my teaching career, I emphasized applying psychological theory through clinical case studies, encouraging students to investigate competing explanations, examine behavioral patterns, evaluate research, and develop thoughtful clinical formulations. I have also had the privilege of teaching and mentoring students who subsequently pursued careers in federal law enforcement.
My forensic background includes an assistant clinical director position at a private practice where I specialized in psychological evaluation, behavioral profiling experience, risk assessment, and research involving psychopathy, sexual homicide, and the classification of sexual offending behavior. My professional development has also included participation in the FBI Citizens Academy, an educational program that provided additional exposure to federal law enforcement operations and investigative perspectives.
These experiences have profoundly influenced my approach to psychological assessment. I am trained to examine discrepancies, evaluate multiple sources of information, consider competing hypotheses, and distinguish between observable behavior and the psychological processes that may help explain it.
Today, my practice focuses on comprehensive psychological assessments, complex neurodevelopmental presentations, functional impairment, and individualized psychological consultation. I have particular interests in autism, ADHD, AuDHD, demand sensitivity, masking, and the discrepancies that can emerge between intellectual ability and everyday functioning.
My clinical philosophy is fundamentally humanistic, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming. I am committed to examining the assumptions and cultural biases embedded within traditional psychological frameworks and understanding how an individual's environment, relationships, identity, and lived experiences contribute to their presentation.
I recognize that complex circumstances often require an equally individualized approach. Whether I am conducting a comprehensive psychological assessment or providing private consultation, my work is grounded in intellectual curiosity, discretion, responsiveness, and genuine respect for the individual.
I believe meaningful psychological understanding requires more than identifying symptoms. It requires examining the whole person, questioning our assumptions, and remaining curious about the experiences that shape human behavior.
That philosophy guides every aspect of my work.
