The Clinical Roadmap

Concierge Psychological Consultation & Coaching

Clinical insight. Individualized coaching. A clear path forward.

Sometimes the challenge isn't obtaining another diagnosis, but knowing how to use the information you already have. You may have a stack of evaluations but no clear roadmap for what happens next, or you may be navigating complex behavioral or developmental patterns that require deep clinical investigation rather than a surface-level checklist.

My concierge consultation service provides dedicated time for families, individuals, and professionals to work through complex clinical questions. Grounded in my experience in clinical and forensic assessment, this highly personalized service goes beyond traditional therapy to bridge the gap between diagnosis and the practical realities of daily life.

Whether you're navigating your own psychological or neurodevelopmental needs, supporting a child with complex behavioral challenges, or seeking professional clinical consultation, I provide the focused expertise needed to move from confusion to a clear clinical roadmap.

Concierge Consultation and Coaching: Your Personalized Clinical Roadmap

The Clinical Roadmap is not just a summary of findings; it is a strategic navigation tool designed to help you organize the information you already have, identify the missing pieces, and determine the most effective path forward.

  • Clarity on Your Clinical History: A cohesive timeline that provides a logical framework for your background and development.
  • Critical Data Gaps Identification: Precise identification of missing information needed for an accurate diagnosis or effective treatment.
  • Strategic Questions for Providers: Individualized questions to ask your doctors, therapists, or schools to ensure your needs are being addressed.
  • Intervention Prioritization: Guidance on which assessments, therapies, or services to pursue first.
  • Clinical Navigation Strategies: Concrete steps for handling complex medical, educational, or legal systems.
  • Resource Referrals: Direct recommendations for vetted professionals and services that align with your specific clinical profile.

By the end of our concierge consultation, you will have a clear, individualized plan that turns clinical uncertainty into an actionable path forward, ensuring that your time, resources, and efforts are directed where they will have the most significant impact.

The Expertise Behind Your Consultation

Dr. Jenny McCartney | Licensed Psychologist

My fascination with human behavior has always extended beyond diagnostic labels. I am particularly interested in complex presentations, the discrepancies between what individuals are intellectually capable of and how they function in everyday life, and the limitations of conventional explanations.

I hold a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Forensic Psychology, a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. My professional experience spans clinical and forensic psychology, psychological assessment, research, graduate education, academic leadership, and clinical supervision.

I previously served as Assistant Clinical Director of a private forensic psychological practice contracted with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the Department of Justice. My responsibilities included clinical supervision, specialized psychological evaluation, risk assessment, professional training, organizational research, and clinical consultation.

My academic career includes serving as Director of the Graduate Forensic Psychology Program and as a professor at California Baptist University. Teaching through case studies was central to my approach. I encouraged students to investigate complex behavioral presentations, evaluate competing explanations, integrate research, and question their assumptions. Many of my former students have gone on to careers in federal law enforcement and other specialized professional fields.

My professional development has included training with internationally recognized forensic and Jungian psychologists, experience in behavioral profiling, and participation in the FBI Citizens Academy.

My academic research has examined complex forensic presentations, including psychopathy, sexual homicide, and the classification of sexual offending behavior. These experiences continue to inform my approach to clinical inquiry, differential diagnosis, and the integration of multiple sources of information.

Today, my practice focuses on comprehensive psychological assessment and individualized consultation. My interests include complex neurodevelopmental presentations, autism, ADHD, AuDHD, demand sensitivity, functional impairment, and the discrepancies that may emerge between intellectual ability and everyday functioning.

Through The Clinical Roadmap, I bring together my clinical experience, forensic training, research background, and years of teaching through complex case studies. I offer adults, families, executives, and professionals an opportunity to explore complicated concerns, develop individualized strategies, and translate psychological understanding into practical recommendations.

My approach is humanistic, culturally responsive, neurodiversity-affirming, discreet, and nonjudgmental. I recognize that the circumstances bringing someone to consultation may be deeply personal or professionally sensitive. I provide individualized, responsive attention grounded in respect for the person and the complexity of their experiences.

I believe meaningful psychological understanding requires curiosity, intellectual honesty, and a willingness to question our assumptions. Rather than simply identifying symptoms or offering generalized recommendations, I work collaboratively to understand the individual, investigate the factors contributing to their difficulties, and identify meaningful ways forward.

That philosophy is the foundation of my work.
